...the president who halved his salary on taking office so he could employ more teachers

This is my hero of the day, the president of Bolivia, Evo Morales. I saw a special on the news about him a few days ago, and now an article in the paper -yes I know I only read the Guardian...whadda ya gonna do about it? Force me to search for varied and balanced news sources?!

Anyway he is promising to renationalise Bolivia's water supply, says that Castro, Chavez and him are the new 'axis of good' and I like him. It remains to be seen as to whether anything will actually happen, but for today he is my hero of the day.
