Seagulls are scary
Had a good bank holiday. Friday (hottest day of the year!!) was 'Taco Friday', and I invited Bee, Paul, Prawn, Olivia, Phil and Dave, Phil's flatmate, for a last-minute dinner party. It was really fun, Chris and Sam were in the front room but Alan joined in and we sat in the garden all evening. Got quite drunk and me and Alan had a fight, which culminated in him flicking red (unbenowsnt (Oh my god, I have totally made that spelling up..sorry) to him) wine and so in retaliation I poured a large amount of juice on him. Stupidness aside it was real cool.
Saturday me and Phil took the train to Hastings for a charity shop spree. The two best ones were shut (bastards!) but got quite a few good things. We were ravenous so Phil got fish and chips and I got battered sausage, pie, and chips; but I wish I had got fish, sausage and chips...mmm I'm hungry. We took our food to the beach, by now we were delirious with hunger and sat down on the beach scoffing our greasy food; before long we were surrounded by an ever increasing number of seagulls. There must have been about 20 of them, all staring at us with their dead little eyes, it done spooked me some. Forgot how pretty the old town is, we walked arm in arm through the little lanes and old junk/antique shops where I got another old ...AGH! what are they called...sew on badges..anyway they make good coasters.
We rushed back to Brighton and got ready to go out to Detournement where they played so many good songs, they played Pavement's old hit 'Stereo' which, as I loudly said many times that night I hadn't heard since I was a teenager. Charlie, Weejay, Amelia, and Duncan were there as well as Jo and all them, so was Jacob but I didn't even realise till I was leaving because they wouldn't let him on the dancefloor on account of his wheelchair. Fuckers.
Sunday morning, feeling a bit worse for wear, we met up with Fran who had come down from London and went to the Prestonville for lunch (and dessert). Was good to see her again, wearing her designer necklace. Watched American Splendour, ate toritlla chips and salsa and drank gin on sunday night...lovely!
I've just been mostly tidying my room tonight, sorting out clothes for e-bay, clothes for bin, clothes for mending..so many clothes.
