Death to everyone...

Is the title of a marvellous song by Bonnie Prince Billy. I have been mostly listening to him all day, and a bit of Clearlake on the really good domino website which lets you listen to the music from a hady lil player.
Here is Bonnie Prince Billy's page with all the lovely songs like 'Wolf among wolves' which is ÜBER sad, mmm mmm! Or the jaunty 'I am a cinematographer'. Listeeeeennn!

Going to see Clearlake tonight, I thought everyone thought they were shit, which isn't true in both senses. Want to go home.

There are other examples of Bush's giveaway buffoonerisms, including some fascinating games of physical one-upmanship between him and Bill Clinton. Ask the pair of them to walk side by side and it quickly degenerates into a hilarious dick-swinging contest, with each attempting to stride in a more commanding, statesmanlike manner than the other. The berks.
And this is just the stuff that's been caught on camera. I'd love to see Bush's private body language: the faces he pulls while trying to pass a particularly rigid stool for instance, or the delighted reeling jig he doubtless performs each time he bombs another town full of unarmed brown folk. Or when he was choking to death on that pretzel - I'd love to have seen the way his legs shook and popped around as he clawed at his throat, desperately gulping for air. Hoo, boy - if the White House have CCTV footage of that they should release it on DVD, backed with comic piano music and a voiceover track of Iraqi schoolkids laughing at his hateful, shuddering face.

So I didn't write this...I've spent all afternoon reading Charlie Brooker's Screenburn column and that was the bit that made me laugh out loud

morgen..more meetings.
this time on employee performance for our review in june...two months. Am I really still going to be here?
went through stuff like writing little paragraphs on what it means to be good / bad employee. boss said don't turn up at 11.00 for meeting at 10 and people I work with laughed cause thats exactly what I did yesterday.
aye.

I am getting obsessed with the digested reads on the Guardian website: http://books.guardian.co.uk/digestedread/0,6550,124958,00.html
i'm addicted!

went to a gig at Hanbury Ballroom last night;support was ok, really loud though aïeee. Ghost Fleet and Good Morning Captain. Christopher passed me a note during GMC's set which said:
records in this bands collection:
Low
Mogwai

I added Tortoise

and we giggled (not the only time we giggled but more about that later). But they were good ish. The headline band were Thee More Shallows but the woman in the band sang one of her own songs to start with...she has an amazing voice! It was really beautiful and the whole room shut up. I think it's the acoustics of the Hanbury ballrooms but the sound was really piercing and too loud. The band were morons in a good way, didn't immediately love the music, was too busy trying to figure out the dynamics as they were a rag-tag bunch of geeky normal looking but strange ones.
Anyway the second reason we giggled was cause Christopher wrote on a note 'I think you're lovely' with his name and number and gave it to the barmaid.
Which is so cool!

Phil is playing at Hannah's fashion course fundraiser night, i'm not too in the mood to be sociable at the moment, esp not in a studenty piss-up its a larf way. But I'll gather up what I can and try to go and be sparkling.

Saturday me and Phil are going to London for the day to see art exhibitions it will nice to get out and about for some chin-stroking.
